Magnificent anvil ideal for ironwork, cutlery and farriery schools. Design in collaboration with blacksmiths from several countries. Cast steel, hardened (table and edges) then planed. Perfect finish. Very well thought out anvil allowing many operations to be carried out.
- The table is divided into 3 zones: a traditional flat zone in the center, a convex zone (width 85 mm) before the bigorne to stretch or curl the metal, an area with a bevelled edge (width 120 mm) to bend with angles less than 90 °. In this last area, the underside of the table is also bevelled to facilitate the finishing of the volutes (see diagram).
- The bigorne is extremely smooth and perfectly regular for very precise work.
- The anvil has a repeater and 4 holes on the table: 1 square hole 25 x 25 mm to receive anvil tools. 3 round holes of 12, 16 and 22 mm diameters for punching metal as required.
The surface of the base of the anvil is rectified in order to lay perfectly flat on the block. The anvil thus has more stability and a very good absorption of vibrations and sounds.
